Louise Brown, the first ‘test tube’ baby in the world.LONDON (AP) - Louise Brown, who was the world’s first “test-tube” baby, has given birth to her first child.
The baby, Cameron John Mullinder, was born Dec. 21 in the western English city of Bristol, reports said.
“He’s tiny, just under six pounds, but he’s perfect,” the Mail on Sunday newspaper quoted her as saying. The baby was naturally conceived.
Brown, 28, married Wesley Mullinder, 37, three years ago.
Her younger sister Natalie, also conceived through in-vitro fertilization, in 1999 became the first “test-tube” baby to give birth.

This is so confusing. Louise Brown is the world’s first test-tube baby who gives birth, but if you read the last paragraph of this article, it says her sister Natalie is also the first test-tube baby to give birth.
Who is the first??? I think Louise is the world’s first test-tube baby. No doubt about that. And she gave birth recently. However, her sister is also a test-tube baby, though not the world’s first test tube baby. However her sister gave birth earlier than her, so technically her sister is a test tube baby who had parturition (birth giving) as the world first. ![]()
